Upswing In Online Marketing Spends

Just a quick blog post to mention that we are seeing a massive upswing in online marketing spends. This seems to be due to the lack of budgets for offline spends in traditional advertising. From asking several of our clients, we have received the following comments, hopefully they will be of use to others in the industry:


 

  • "We decided to move some of our budget dedicated to lead generation through the Golden Pages, leafleting, etc, to online marketing, in particular Facebook and search engine optimisation as the returns appear to be far greater on investment"

  • "[Our company] just felt that we were wasting money we just didn't have on industry publications, using email marketing has a high ROI, and [Smith and Wise] seems to always get the balance right, handling campaigns for several clients"

  • "We have yet to see long term results, but short term investment in link building and SEO is definitely upping traffic to our website, which has also upped inquiries"

I think there is still potential for print advertising, but I can see a good shift towards online in future, it seems to be much cheaper which is what people are after these days
