Synchronise Files Across Multiple Devices

We are all focused on becoming more efficient these days, and technology can both speed things up and slow us down. For a long time, sharing files between multiple computers, or several people in an organisation has been one of lifes experiences best forgotten.

 

When I started introducing people to Dropbox, I always felt I was someone liberating them from the absolute pain of emailing files, running around with USB sticks and rewritting letters to avoid going back into work. You see, Dropbox is a solution which allows people to synchronise files across multiple computers, and other devices, even including Androids and iPhones. If you are out of the office, and your laptop has gone dead, no need to worry, you can grab a file from any PC with the web interface also.

 

There are so many things Dropbox has allowed me to do, including:

• Backing up work files (encrypted using TrueCrypt).

• Collaborate on accounts with my financial guru.

• Share and easily transfer files with clients using individual sharing folders.

• Keep things in a safe place, such as my revenue certificate, if I ever need it in a hurry!

• Work on a file, save it, and open it on another computer to complete it.
