Can I Not Just Bulk Send An Email?

The quick answer is no. If you are bulk emailing people, you need to ensure the following things legally and in line with your web resources:

  • You do not reveal email addresses to other receiptients.

  • You provide an automatic / link unsubscribe function.

  • Your host / email provider does not have limits on emails per hour (this can knock off all services).

  • Your host / email provider allows bulk emails (without them being marked as spam or breaching their TOS).

How do I build up an email mailing list?

There are many ways to build up email lists, these include:

  • Allowing users to subscribe to an email list via your website.

  • Using email addresses already in your address book.

  • Buying a legal email list.

  • Collecting email addresses from forms, surveys or leaflets and inputting these into an excel file for later use.

What fees do Smith and Wise charge for services?

There are a number of costs associated with using our Email Marketing services, although we are cheaper than most other Irish suppliers and many international DIY solutions. Our charges roughly break down as:

  • A yearly fee, as listed here.

  • A send out fee per email / campaign sent out, as listed here.

  • A loading fee, for loading new addresses into your Mailing system (if not loaded via on website subscribe functions). This ranges from €25 to €500 depending on file size.
